Responsibilities
- Conduct supplier selection leveraging approved supplier list
- Partner with suppliers to accelerate product development including concept scoping and joint design development
- Drive development and consolidation of manufacturing BOM and manage CAPEX during NPI
- Conduct value stream mapping to optimize supply network lead time and flexibility
- Complete BOM risk assessment including alternate sourcing and component qualifications
- Reduce complexity via commonality optimization and supplier rationalization
- Identify and minimize obsolescence risk
- Lead cost engineering activities to maximize total cost of ownership throughout product lifecycle
- Manage ad-hoc cost issues such as tariffs and cost inflation
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or supply chain
