Responsibilities
- Select and qualify suppliers from the approved supplier list for assigned products
- Partner with strategic suppliers to accelerate development through concept scoping, trade-offs, and joint design work
- Develop should-cost / clean-sheet models and lead cost engineering to converge product cost to TCO targets
- Consolidate and maintain manufacturing BOMs with Quality & Manufacturing to enable production ramp and supplier transitions
- Manage CAPEX requirements during NPI and support CAPEX planning
- Perform value-stream mapping to optimize supply network lead time and flexibility
- Complete BOM risk assessments, identify alternate components and suppliers
- Ensure completion of component qualifications prior to production
- Drive complexity reduction via component and supplier rationalization
- Address ad-hoc cost impacts (tariffs, import/export, inflation) and recommend mitigations
Education
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical field (required)
- Master's or advanced technical degree (preferred)
