Skills
- Eligible to obtain and maintain U.S. Top Secret clearance
- Strong C++ or Rust skills in Linux development environments (5+ years)
- Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, concurrency, and code optimization
- Experience debugging and operating remotely deployed software on physical systems
- Experience working with and testing electrical and mechanical systems
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain core libraries and services for multi-robot coordination and vehicle autonomy (e.g., motion deconfliction, contingency management).
- Own development and rollout of large, complex features from design through testing and deployment, including terminal-phase autonomy and live surrogate testing.
- Collaborate with hardware teams, third-party vendors, and operational SMEs (pilots, UAV operators) to define requirements and iterate on system design.
- Integrate sensors, telemetry, and networking components into vehicle software stacks and ensure reliable field operation.
- Troubleshoot and analyze remotely deployed systems; develop test plans and perform validation on live surrogate platforms.
Education
- BS in Robotics, Computer Science, Mechatronics, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or related field (required)
- MS or PhD in relevant field (preferred)
