Principal Computer Vision Engineer
Skills
- Expertise in C++, Python, and Linux development
- Extensive background in image processing, computer vision, or machine learning
- Experience with high bit-depth sensor data and real-time/embedded processing constraints
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical communication skills
- Familiarity with software revision control and interdisciplinary engineering workflows
Responsibilities
- Design and implement cutting-edge image processing techniques for signal improvement, detection, and tracking on high bit-depth, large-format airborne infrared sensors
- Maintain deep understanding of airborne sensor hardware and develop physics-based models and digital twins
- Collaborate with mission operations, hardware, and software teams to evaluate system performance and establish engineering completion criteria
- Build evaluation metrics, unit and integration tests, and tooling to measure and validate performance
- Deploy and tune algorithms in Linux environments using C++ and Python
Education
- BS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline (required)
- MS or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline (preferred)
