- Flight test planning, execution, and data analysis
- Hands-on experience with test instrumentation and data acquisition systems
- Systems integration and avionics/aircraft systems knowledge
- Configuration and inventory management for test assets
- Ability to write clear test plans, reports, and safety documentation
- Familiarity with FAA regulations and Part 107 for small UAS
Responsibilities
- Plan, execute, and report flight test campaigns for software and hardware evaluation of Group 1–3 platforms
- Support daily flight test operations across multiple test locations and coordinate test events
- Develop and manage test cards, pre/post-flight briefings, and safety/risk assessments
- Maintain configuration and inventory management for test assets to ensure mission readiness
- Collaborate with engineering SMEs, pilots, program managers, and ops to characterize issues and document results
- Collect, analyze, and report metrics on product performance, progression, and maturity
- Coach and mentor team members for test readiness reviews and safety boards
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in aerospace, mechanical, or related engineering discipline (required)
- Master’s degree in a relevant field (preferred)
