EE Lab Equipment Specialist
Skills
- 2+ years calibration, metrology, or related field experience
- Experience managing calibration in large organizations or production environments
- Familiarity with a wide range of measurement instruments, with emphasis on electrical test equipment
- Experience working with and managing 3rd-party calibration vendors
- Familiarity with AS9100 or other external auditing/compliance standards
- Proficiency with equipment tracking systems (JIRA or similar) and record keeping
Responsibilities
- Manage test equipment maintenance and calibration activities for Costa Mesa facilities, Santa Ana sites, contract manufacturers, and testing facilities.
- Perform daily electrical test equipment checkout and support requester needs.
- Maintain and update equipment records in JIRA/equipment tracking system, including location, user, and calibration dates.
- Coordinate calibration schedules and recalls with equipment users and external calibration vendors.
- Procure, source, and initiate RMA/repair processes with vendors and manufacturers as directed.
- Track physical recall and movement of devices requiring calibration and maintain accurate calibration records for audits.
- Ensure calibration activities are performed on schedule and meet performance requirements.
- Adapt to fast-paced, ambiguous targets and update work plans based on outcomes.
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in engineering, metrology, or related technical field preferred
