Responsibilities
- Manage daily operations of the sustainment engineering department.
- Develop strategies to improve safety, reliability, and efficiency of autonomous aircraft fleet.
- Lead and mentor engineers and technicians on fleet inspections and maintenance.
- Collaborate cross-departmentally to ensure timely maintenance and regulatory compliance.
- Monitor and analyze aircraft performance data to recommend improvements.
- Stay updated on industry advancements to enhance fleet operations.
- Manage department budget and resources efficiently.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide guidance to team members.
- Maintain relationships with external vendors and suppliers for repairs and maintenance.
- Communicate fleet engineering status and recommend operational changes to senior management.
- Ensure adherence to all safety, regulatory, and company policies.
- Participate in decision-making for fleet upgrades, acquisitions, and retirements.
- Facilitate effective communication between sustainment and other departments.
- Promote a positive, inclusive, and continuous improvement-oriented work environment.
Education
- Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Top Secret security clearance.
