Job Description:
The Specialist, Professional Development Design will play a critical role in supporting our work with external partnerships to improve, expand, and strengthen Amplify’s PD offerings. The PD Designer will support Amplify Desmos Math onboarding and training for external coaches, and provide ongoing support in aligning external resources to support Amplify Desmos Math implementation as we expand our footprints and continue to launch state editions. The Specialist, PD Design will support in ensuring that Amplify professional development is well-executed for partners and districts.
Essential Responsibilities:
Executing a work plan as directed by the Professional Development team and managing work to meet deadlines.
Supporting the creation of high quality, relevant professional development session resources for our partners that translate into immediate, measurable improvements to instruction and to student achievement.
Curating key curricular supports, in partnership with members of the professional development team.
Working with other cross-functional teams to ensure smooth logistics for the planning and execution of professional development, including, but not limited to, supporting project plans and creating accompanying resources.
Minimum Qualifications:
A bachelor’s degree
A minimum of 2 years teaching experience preferred with demonstrated high student achievement
Experience working with Amplify Desmos Math K-5, 6-A1, either in curriculum development or PD design.
Experience working in a start-up, fast paced, high-growth, entrepreneurial environment
Demonstrated ability to speak and write clearly, succinctly and persuasively such that expectations and timeline are met and excellence is clearly aligned on with manager
Ability to manage multiple priorities from a variety of sources, organizing and prioritizing effectively to impact areas of greatest need
Ability to deconstruct problems and develop coherent, actionable strategies
Compensation:
The hourly rate range for this role is $40.
