In this vital role, you will lead the Resource Management capability to directly impact the company’s ability to deliver on its mission by ensuring resources are aligned with the most critical portfolio priorities. By developing robust capabilities, building a high-performing team, and fostering enterprise-wide collaboration, this leader will help the organization make smarter, faster decisions that accelerate innovation and improve patient outcomes
This leader will establish a holistic vision to transform how we plan and optimize our workforce. You will lead enterprise-wide resource planning and allocation in support of our R&D and portfolio priorities. This role will drive advanced analytics, best practices, and innovation to ensure real-time, data-driven decisions that maximize portfolio value.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Strategic leadership - Lead the design and execution of enterprise-wide resource management strategies to align functional capabilities and investments with portfolio priorities.
Processes and Best Practices – Establish standardized processes, foundational data, systems, and governance frameworks for resource planning and allocation across functions.
Advanced Analytics & Insights - Define and apply innovative analytics approaches, including AI-enabled tools, to forecast, model, and optimize functional resource allocation.
Governance Support - Support portfolio governance by delivering insights on capacity, trade-offs, and prioritization. Advise executives on resource risks and opportunities.
Collaboration & Engagement - Partner closely with Functions, Finance, and Portfolio & Program management office to advance capabilities for real-time insights for workforce planning and allocation.
Strategic Planning - Build and refine planning methods to answer critical business questions, balancing capacity, productivity, and pipeline needs.
Business Transformation - Advance automation of workforce planning through systems, data integration, and AI.
Innovation - Monitor industry trends and continuously evolve resource management practices.
Leadership Development - Mentor and grow next-generation resource management leaders, creating a sustainable talent pipeline.

Basic Qualifications:
Doctorate degree and 5 years life sciences/quantitative/resource management experience
OR
Master’s degree and 9 years life sciences/quantitative/resource management experience
OR
Bachelor’s degree and 11 years life sciences/quantitative/resource management experience
In addition to meeting at least one of the above requirements, you must have at least 5 years' experience directly managing people and/or leadership experience leading teams, projects, programs, or directing the allocation or resources. Your managerial experience may run concurrently with the required technical experience referenced above
Preferred Qualifications:
10+ years of experience in life sciences/biopharma; 5+ years leading resource management in pharma/biotech.
Expertise in portfolio, resource, cost, and budget management; direct drug development experience preferred.
Strong track record translating business strategy into operating models, actionable plans, and measurable value.
Proficiency in Planisware, Power BI, Tableau, Spotfire, or similar; AI/advanced analytics experience highly desirable.
Exceptional communication and influence skills with ability to engage senior stakeholders and drive organizational adoption.
Proven ability to build and lead high-performing teams in complex, matrixed environments.

The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is $210,369. to $247,345. Actual salary will vary based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
