The American Heart Association has an excellent opportunity for a Reporting Analyst, Development. The location for this position is flexible.

 

The Reporting Analyst is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Tableau dashboards and reports that provide key insights to internal stakeholders. This role ensures that data is accessible, understandable, and actionable, supporting strategic decision-making throughout the organization.

 

Reporting Analysts work closely with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into clear reporting solutions, maintain data accuracy, and promote a data-informed culture. Proficiency in Excel is required, and experience with Salesforce, event software (e.g., Luminate Online, Greater Giving), or financial reporting tools (such as Oracle Cloud) is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Designs, builds, and maintains Tableau dashboards and visualizations based on business requirements, ensuring, data quality and accuracy through testing, validation, and troubleshooting.
  • Partners with internal stakeholders to understand reporting needs, translate them into actionable insights, and document report definitions and specifications.
  • Uses Excel to conduct data analysis, validation, and reconciliation across multiple sources.
  • Supports reporting needs involving Salesforce, event platforms (e.g., Luminate Online, Greater Giving), Oracle Cloud, etc.
  • Participates in team meetings and ongoing skill development.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent. Proficiency in Tableau Cloud is required. Tableau Desktop Specialist or Tableau Certified Data Analyst certification is a plus.
  • Three (3) years of the following experience:
    • Proficiency in building dashboards and reports using Tableau Desktop and Tableau Cloud
    • Strong data analysis and validation skills
    • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, pivot tables, and data cleaning
    • Experience working with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into reporting solutions
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Ability to troubleshoot and ensure data accuracy and integrity

Preferred:

  • One (1) to two (2) years of the following experience:
    • Experience using Salesforce as a data source or reporting tool
    • Experience with event fundraising platforms (e.g., Luminate Online, Greater Giving)
    • Experience with financial reporting tools, such as Oracle Cloud
    • Tableau Desktop Specialist or Tableau Certified Data Analyst certification
    • Experience with collaborative, remote work environments

 

Compensation & Benefits

The expected pay range will be $60,00 to $70,000. Pay is commensurate with experience; geographic differentials to the pay range may apply. The American Heart Association reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range.
