- Expertise in textile manufacturing processes (spinning, weaving/knitting, dyeing, finishing)
- Strong global supplier negotiation and relationship management
- Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills for cost analysis and forecasting
- Experience with capacity planning, production staging, and WIP tracking
- Knowledge of performance fabric testing and quality/compliance processes
- Ability to synthesize market intelligence and sourcing metrics into actionable plans
- Experience driving sustainability and supply chain traceability initiatives
Responsibilities
- Develop and manage raw material sourcing strategies aligned to business goals, seasonality, and sustainability objectives
- Optimize and maintain a global supplier matrix balancing lead time, flexibility, quality, and cost
- Lead supplier negotiations, capacity planning, and award communications for seasonal programs
- Provide supplier forecasts, initiate commitments, and manage bulk execution changes (chase, cancel, shift-outs)
- Analyze cost components and market trends to inform fact-based negotiations
- Build and maintain sourcing dashboards and KPIs including fabric commitments and staged usage reports
- Track WIP and fabric readiness with suppliers to meet bulk production timelines
- Conduct supplier onboarding, technical capability reviews, performance testing, and quarterly health checks
- Manage fabric supplier scorecards and drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Product Creation, Development, Buying, and Finance on material strategies and long-range planning
- Maintain a centralized bulk fabric library to support Development and Production teams
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Textiles, Supply Chain, Business, or related field (required)
- Advanced degree in related field (preferred)
