Responsibilities
- Manage all accounting, reporting and analysis related to inventories, gross margins, and standard costs
- Collaborate with Product, Sourcing, and Logistics to establish accurate standard costs for product styles
- Support Sales leadership and Category Managers with costing data to set product pricing aligned with margin goals
- Calculate and maintain standard costs for bills of materials
- Monitor inventory balances, adjustments, and cost of goods sold (COGS)
- Prepare and review monthly journal entries and reconciliations related to inventory and COGS
- Ensure proper valuation and reserving of inventories under US GAAP including slow moving and obsolete inventory evaluation
- Document inventory processes and act as finance liaison during physical inventory counts
- Establish internal controls related to inventory and assist with audit preparations
- Monitor low margin and slow moving inventory providing actionable financial reports
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting
- CPA qualification preferred
