Skills
- Deep knowledge of Agile principles and hands-on experience leading agile teams
- Product ownership and roadmap/backlog management experience
- Experience as a Delivery Manager, Product Manager, Program Manager, Scrum Master, or Product Owner
- Familiarity with GitHub and Zenhub (or comparable tooling) for managing dev projects
- Sprint planning, facilitation, and ceremony leadership
- Strong stakeholder management and cross-team facilitation
- Risk, dependency, and program health management
- Budget tracking and basic contract invoicing support
- Accessibility and open-source collaboration experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication
Responsibilities
- Own the product vision, roadmap, and prioritized backlog for CommonGrants and SimplerGrants reporting/automation, with well-scoped epics and acceptance criteria
- Lead sprint planning and facilitate core agile ceremonies (standups, refinement, reviews/demos, retros) to enable healthy team flow
- Plan and facilitate cross-program meetings and in-person events with HHS and multiple vendors/workstreams to align dependencies and timelines
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders (HHS, vendors, adopters, open-source contributors) and incorporate feedback into product direction
- Track delivery against roadmap and sprint goals; report program health, progress, risks, and tradeoffs to leadership and governance
- Surface and manage risks and cross-team dependencies, driving mitigation plans and decision points
- Support budget and contract tracking to enable timely invoicing and responsible use of funds; coordinate forecasts and resourcing needs
- Ensure product outcomes and delivery practices prioritize accessibility, sustainability, and Agile Six values
- Coach teams in agile practices and support team self-organization and continuous improvement
Education
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience preferred
- U.S. residency/work requirement: lived and worked in the United States for 3 of the last 5 years (required)
