Skills
- Substantial litigation experience handling class actions, consumer protection, and commercial disputes
- Strong knowledge of consumer finance laws including FCRA, FDCPA, and TCPA
- Proven ability to manage complex matters independently and lead outside counsel
- Excellent legal research, writing, advocacy, and judgment skills
- Comfort operating in a high-growth, fast-moving fintech environment
Responsibilities
- Manage Affirm's portfolio of litigation, arbitration, and pre-litigation matters across consumer, commercial, regulatory, and securities domains
- Develop and execute strategic litigation plans aligned with company goals
- Advise internal stakeholders on litigation risk, exposure, and mitigation strategies
- Prepare status reports, case summaries, and exposure assessments
- Manage discovery, draft pleadings and briefs, and oversee motion practice
- Engage, supervise, and evaluate outside counsel to ensure cost-effective representation
Education
- J.D. from an accredited U.S. law school
- Licensed and in good standing to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
