Skills
- 3-5+ years in compliance, enterprise/operational risk, or audit within financial services, fintech, or a regulatory agency
- Strong critical thinking, analytical and investigative skills
- Effective verbal and written communication with ability to present complex compliance issues
- Project management and time management skills to handle multiple priorities
- Curiosity about fintech and consumer financial protections
Responsibilities
- Review and credibly challenge internal responses to consumer complaints and operational issues across regulatory areas such as credit reporting, disputes, bankruptcy, fair lending, and UDAAP
- Investigate customer complaints to identify root causes, analyze trends, and recommend product and process improvements
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners and escalate significant compliance concerns to senior management when appropriate
- Assist with metrics reporting, monitoring, and documentation to support compliance programs
- Contribute to compliance and risk management projects, including process improvement initiatives
Education
- Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent relevant work experience
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CRCM, CAMS) are a plus
