Position: Video Editor – Brand Storytelling & Post-Production
Type of Contract: Independent Contractor
Schedule: Full-time, Monday to Friday (EDT hours)

We’re not just selling products—we’re telling stories of artistry, rebellion, and timeless design. Now, we’re looking for a Video Editor who can translate that ethos into captivating visual content across digital platforms.

Scope of the Role

As our Video Editor, you’ll be the visual storyteller behind the brand. From cinematic product features to behind-the-scenes glimpses of our creative process, you’ll craft high-impact videos that resonate with our audience and elevate our brand presence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Post-Production Mastery: Edit raw footage into polished, high-quality videos—handling pacing, transitions, color grading, sound design, and motion graphics.
  • Narrative Craftsmanship: Build compelling visual narratives that showcase our materials, process, and brand identity.
  • Multi-Format Production: Create both long-form content (e.g., collection showcases, interviews) and short-form assets (e.g., reels, teasers, social clips).
  • Thumbnail & Visual Design: Design eye-catching thumbnails and supporting visuals to enhance video engagement.
  • Cross-Team Collaboration: Work closely with design, marketing, and content teams to ensure brand consistency and strategic alignment.
  • Trend Awareness: Stay up-to-date with video trends, platform algorithms, and storytelling techniques that drive engagement.
  • Asset Management: Organize project files, maintain version control, and ensure timely delivery under tight deadlines.

  • 3+ years of professional experience in video editing, ideally within lifestyle, fashion, or artisan brands.
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, and After Effects (or similar).
  • Strong skills in color correction, sound design, and motion graphics.
  • A portfolio that demonstrates creative storytelling, brand tone alignment, and technical excellence.
  • Experience producing content for social platforms.
  • Solid organizational and communication skills for remote collaboration.
  • Familiarity with thumbnail creation tools (e.g., Photoshop, Canva).
  • Understanding of branding, visual aesthetics, and storytelling rooted in craftsmanship and authenticity.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Background in fashion, lifestyle, or artisan product marketing.
  • Experience with photography or directing shoots is a plus.
  • Knowledge of typography, layout, and visual hierarchy.
  • Passion for sustainable design and storytelling with substance.
