Facility Manager

Acquisition.com is on a mission to make real world business education available to everyone.

At Acquisition.com, we don’t just hire for open roles—we hire for impact. If you’re exceptional at what you do and align with our core values: competitive greatness, sincere candor, and unimpeachable character, we want to know you.

Role:

At Acquisition.com, we don’t just manage a building; we operate a headquarters that reflects our standards of excellence, efficiency, and operational clarity. As our Facility Manager, you will lead the charge in ensuring all systems run smoothly and the building remains a functional, compliant, and top-tier environment for our team.

You won’t just be managing systems. You will be a true partner to every department. From ensuring a comfortable work environment, to maintaining safety and compliance, to supporting cross-functional initiatives, you will be central to the productivity and performance of our entire organization.

When systems fail, productivity halts. When they run smoothly, everyone wins. This role is critical to maintaining the infrastructure that keeps our business moving forward safely, efficiently, and with excellence.

You will lead our facilities function, ensuring the reliability and safety of critical infrastructure such as HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems. Rather than serving as the technical expert yourself, you will identify needs, engage and manage external engineers and vendors, and coordinate resources to address issues effectively. This role calls for a leader who can balance hands-on oversight with strategic decision-making, while maintaining the highest standards of communication, documentation, and organizational leadership.

At the core of this work is your alignment with our values:

  • Sincere Candor

  • Unimpeachable Character

  • Competitive Greatness.

These principles guide every decision, conversation, and standard we uphold. As Facility Manager, you must embody these values daily to build trust across teams, lead with integrity, and execute with excellence.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily operations and functionality of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire life safety, and access controls.

  • Oversee the facilities team by setting expectations, assigning tasks, and ensuring consistent performance and accountability

  • Perform hands-on maintenance, including furniture assembly, painting, drywall repair, and other minor fixes within assigned areas or zone of expertise.

  • Ensure all required permits, licenses, and inspections are obtained and maintained.

  • Coordinate with external vendors for work that requires licensed or specialized expertise.

  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure building systems are fully operational and compliant with all codes and regulations.

  • Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules and emergency protocols.

  • Plan and oversee renovations, improvements, or facility upgrades (often working with outside contractors/architects).

  • Ensure the facility meets aesthetic and cleanliness standards by collaborating with the Office Manager if needed.

  • Monitor and manage service contracts with third-party vendors such as pest control and landscaping.

  • Maintain accurate documentation, including service logs, inspection reports, SOPs, vendor agreements, and inventory records.

  • Use platforms like Asana, GSuite, Slack, and Zoom to track projects, update stakeholders, and ensure timely resolution of tasks.

  • Communicate clearly with leadership, team members, and vendors, ensuring expectations are well documented and followed through.

  • Act as the primary point of contact for emergency facility issues and remain on call for urgent needs outside standard business hours

  • Assist in managing the facilities team budget, including forecasting for maintenance and capital expenditures.

  • Support site safety initiatives and coordinate training in collaboration with Office Management, People Operations, and Safety Officers.

Results:

  • Building systems operate efficiently with minimal downtime and strong preventative planning.

  • Service Level Agreements (SLAs) are established for internal tasks and vendor work, resulting in faster response times, clearer expectations, and improved accountability across all facility operations.

  • Maintenance logs, compliance documents, and vendor agreements are kept up to date and properly stored.

  • The facility maintains a clean, safe, and professional appearance at all times.

  • All maintenance, repairs, and facility-related requests are resolved promptly within the established SLA timeframe and clearly communicated to stakeholders.

  • The facilities team operates with clarity, accountability, and efficiency, consistently meeting deadlines and service standards.

  • Vendors are managed professionally and held accountable to standards, timelines, and deliverables

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in facilities management or a similar role overseeing building operations.

  • Proven experience supervising staff and managing external contractors and vendors

  • Demonstrated ability to oversee critical building systems. Including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire life safety, by engaging, managing, and holding external experts accountable to high standards of safety, compliance, and performance.

  • Ability to perform general maintenance and repairs (furniture assembly, painting, minor fixes) when needed.

  • Familiarity with building codes, compliance regulations, and OSHA requirements

  • OSHA 30 certification

  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to clearly document processes, issues, and resolutions.

  • Highly organized, with demonstrated skill in prioritization, problem solving, and proactive decision making.

  • Experience using Asana, GSuite, Slack, and Zoom or similar platforms

  • Willing to be on site full time (M–F), with flexibility for after-hours and weekend emergencies

  • Able to lift up to +30 lbs and safely use tools as needed

Location:

  • Las Vegas, NV

  • Relocation package available if needed

  • Mon - Fri with flexibility to work weekends when needed

Compensation:

  • $115,000 - $140,000 annual salary

Manages:

  • Facility Supervisor

Reports To:

  • Director of Events & Venue Operations

Benefits & Perks:

  • Flexible Time off Policy and Company-wide Holidays

  • Health Insurance options including Medical, Dental, Vision

  • 401(k) offering for Traditional and Roth accounts with an employer match
