Skills
- Proficient in Python and SQL
- Experience building/manage ETL pipelines with Databricks and orchestration frameworks
- Hands-on with PySpark for structured and semi-structured data processing
- Experience with cloud object storage and messaging (AWS S3, SQS or equivalents)
- Familiarity with data warehousing technologies such as Snowflake
- Infrastructure as code (Terraform) and CI/CD (GitLab) experience
- Query tuning and performance optimization in SQL and SparkSQL
- Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Understanding of US healthcare data (medical claims, member/eligibility) and compliance requirements
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with clients, implementation, and vendor teams to gather and translate data distribution requirements into technical solutions
- Design, build, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines leveraging Databricks and orchestration frameworks
- Integrate structured and semi-structured healthcare data (claims, membership, eligibility) using PySpark and SQL
- Lead architecture and implementation for health plan client integrations on cloud platforms
- Ensure data accuracy, integrity, performance tuning, and query optimization in SQL and SparkSQL
- Implement and enforce data security controls and compliance with healthcare regulations such as HIPAA
- Mentor and provide technical leadership to junior engineers and cross-functional teams
- Document architectures, runbooks, and provide training to internal teams and clients
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related IT field
