- Proven experience designing and implementing scalable, secure applications
- Strong Java development experience and related build tools (Gradle, Maven)
- Experience with Cassandra and Postgres databases
- Containerization and orchestration fundamentals (Docker)
- Observability and monitoring: Grafana, Kibana
- Web and API frameworks: Jersey, Spring, RESTful APIs
- Automated testing: JUnit, TestNG, Mockito
- Experience integrating financial and taxation applications
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and release automation
- Ability to lead technical discussions and set architectural direction
Responsibilities
- Guide collaboration between team members and senior engineering leaders on architecture and implementation of new patterns
- Refine team's prioritization, estimation, and delivery planning to set accurate expectations
- Improve build, test, and release tools and processes to increase engineering velocity and quality
- Work with Documentation, Support and Customer Success to triage and fix customer-reported bugs and handle escalations
- Partner with Product Managers to deliver product features and align on scope and timelines
- Drive adoption of best practices for security, reliability, usability, and availability
- Mentor and develop engineers, conduct code and design reviews, and promote knowledge sharing
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer or Electronics Engineering, Information Technology or Systems, or related field required
- 5+ years of progressive post-bachelor's experience as a Software Developer or related role
