About the Role
As an Administrative Assistant at Zekelman Industries in Killeen, Texas, you will play a key role in supporting operational efficiencies and ensuring smooth day-to-day workflows. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a dynamic environment, and offers the opportunity to contribute directly to process improvements, employee engagement, and workplace productivity.

You will collaborate with cross-functional team, including HR, payroll, and management, ensuring that administrative processes run efficiently and internal communication remains clear and timely. This is a full-time, on-site role located in Killeen, Texas.

This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys solving problems, is detail-oriented, and takes initiative to support team success.

What You’ll Do

· Performs receptionist duties, including managing phone calls, greeting visitors, and handling team member inquiries
· Collaborates with HR and payroll to maintain accurate timekeeping and attendance records using systems like UKG
· Assists with onboarding and employee training by preparing materials and coordinating sessions
· Maintains organized files and internal documents to ensure data accuracy and compliance
· Drafts and distributes communications, prepares presentations, and manages mailings
· Coordinates logistics for team events and employee functions, ensuring seamless execution
· Arranges travel and housing for team members, handling all related logistics efficiently
· Manages office supplies and equipment inventory, placing orders and overseeing maintenance
· Tracks and schedules office maintenance requests and communicates updates
· Performs basic accounting tasks including invoicing, job costing, and reconciliation
· Supports management with special projects and administrative tasks to meet business objectives
· Performs other duties as assigned

Who You Are

· 3–5 years of administrative experience, preferably in a fast-paced or industrial environment
· High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate degree in Business Administration or related field preferred
· Proficient in timekeeping systems such as UKG, Kronos, or similar, and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
· Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams and departments
· Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks
· Basic accounting knowledge or experience in billing, invoicing, or job costing
· Bilingual proficiency in Spanish is a plus
· Eligible to work in the United States
