MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE:
1. High School Diploma or equivalent.
2. Must be 21 years of age or older
3. Valid Driver’s License.
4. State criminal background check and Federal (if applicable), as required for regulated areas.
EXPERIENCE:
1. Four (4) years of prior experience in the Security field and/or the customer service industry

2. Security and/or customer service experience preferred.
3. One (1) year experience in developing monthly operational and capital equipment budgets.
4. One (1) year experience with computerized monitoring systems.

1. Provides daily supervision for operations of Security, Shuttle, Dispatcher, and Ambassador functions.
2. Contributes to development and evaluation of campus-wide Security, Parking, Landscaping, and Ambassador Operational Plans.
3. Assists in staff recruitment and retention including new employee orientation, in-service continuing education and new equipment and/or systems training.
4. Assures daily staffing levels are adequate to meet departmental operational needs.
5. Provides input into overall employee job performance; counsels and disciplines employees under the direction of the Manager. Provides support to Manager with employee personnel records and schedules.
6. Provides daily supervision and ongoing feedback to employees concerning job performance.
7. Collects data to provide Manager for appropriate benchmarking and trend review.
8. Assures compliance with hospital and department policies and other relevant regulatory authorities (TJC, OHFLAC, etc.)
9. Monitors on a continual basis of all personnel and current expense budgets providing information and / or justification of variances to the Manager.
10. Assists in the verification and validation of payroll reports, intervening as appropriate to ensure adherence to institutional payroll policy and procedures.
11. Assures the most economical utilization of time, materials and resources through the review of workflow and staffing patterns in order to achieve optimal productivity and to provide cost effectiveness of staffing patterns.
12. Maintains effective communication with patients, staff and other departments as necessary to assure identification of problems and provide problem resolution in support of the hospital’s mission of quality patient care delivery.
13. Assist the manager in dissemination of necessary information from prepared reports.
14. Assures the adherence of all standards and policies as set forth by WVUH and the accrediting bodies for the purposes of licensure, certification and accrediting.
15. Reports process problems to Manager as they arise.
16. Assist others with Security department systems as necessary to keep workflow professional, current, and efficient.
17. Assist with other ancillary and support workflow processes and procedures as necessary.
18. Supervises WVUH and Divisional Fleet Motor Vehicles regulations. Supervises all claims made with WVUH Fleet vehicles and any customer vehicle accidents.
19. Supervises Parking permits validation, reporting and data entry.
20. Supervises all Security Department Procurement duties to include but not limited to, working with vendors, purchasing, invoices and tracking of all purchases.
21. Serves on various Performance Improvement teams to improve efficiency within the department.
