Specialist, Finance Services Part-Time
WSU Tech is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Specialist, Financial Services to join our Finance team. This position is responsible for accounts payable data entry, filing vendor records, preparing reports, and assisting with other accounting-related tasks. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong initiative, organizational skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Compensation: $19.50 / hr
- Worksite Location: NCAT.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will vary, but are not limited to:
- Perform data entry related to accounts payable
- Maintain vendor records in an organized and timely manner
- Communicate professionally with internal departments and external organizations
- Assist the Finance and Administration department as needed
- Participate in at least 20 hours of professional development annually
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws and organizational policies
- Protect confidential information and handle sensitive data appropriately
- Operate job-related tools, equipment, and systems effectively
- Perform other duties as assigned
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered
Experience:
- Two years of bookkeeping or accounts payable experience preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic computer functions
- Strong time management and multitasking skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong judgment, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks
