Under general supervision this individual performs a wide variety of duties of moderate difficulty. This position provides consultation to clients, technical support and administrative support for the office of Testing & Evaluation Services (T&E). It is the primary position responsible for interfacing with faculty, instructional staff, and TAs, explaining our services and helping to ensure that requests for service are completed correctly so that exams, course evaluations, and research questionnaires are scored accurately and customers get the level of feedback they desire. This position serves as the primary point of contact for information on national standardized exams, such as those used for admissions to the university, graduate school, or professional programs.

It is anticipated this position requires work be performed in-person, onsite, at our front office (located at 373 Educational Sciences Building, 1025 West Johnson Street, Madison, Wisconsin 53706). Our hours of operation are 7:45 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Serves as first point of contact for individuals and groups providing basic organizational information via phone, in person, and through other communication mediums, routing more complex inquiries to the appropriate entities
Schedules logistics and secures resources for meetings, conferences, travel, and work unit operations
Scanning and scoring exams using department’s existing technology
Sends, receives, copies, and distributes communications to the appropriate entities according to established policies and procedures
Tracks, stocks, orders, and inventories office supplies to ensure adequate materials are available for workplace operation
Division for Teaching and Learning, Testing and Evaluation Services
Testing and Evaluation Services provides the University of Wisconsin-Madison campus and the University of Wisconsin System with services related to assessment and evaluation. Our office provides scanning services, scoring and statistical analysis of exams and evaluations, and administration of local and national standardized exams. Staff within the department conduct nationally recognized research on test-related topics and have an extensive record of publications in peer-reviewed journals.
The starting rate for the position is $17.00/hour. Actual pay is determined at hire and is based on experience and qualifications.
