Skills
- Proven lead counsel experience in defending accounting firms and accountants
- Deep knowledge of SEC, PCAOB, AICPA and state accountancy board processes
- Track record managing complex, multi-party litigation and multistate matters
- Strong client relationship development and business origination skills
- Ability to work collaboratively across practice groups and mentor junior lawyers
Responsibilities
- Serve as lead counsel in accounting malpractice litigation, ethics proceedings, regulatory compliance matters, and related business disputes.
- Advise accounting clients on risk management, ethics, licensing, partnership issues, M&A activity, and internal governance.
- Manage and grow client relationships with a strategic, long-term focus.
- Collaborate across practice groups (cybersecurity, employment, commercial, class actions) to deliver integrated legal solutions.
- Mentor and supervise junior attorneys and contribute to associate development.
- Participate in business development, thought leadership, and speaking engagements to represent the firm externally.
Education
- J.D. from an accredited law school
- Admission to practice in at least one U.S. jurisdiction (active bar membership required)
