Under the direction of the Manager of Search Engine Optimization, the SEO/GEO analyst will participate in shaping and implementing WGU’s SEO/GEO strategy and assure continued performance of WGU’s website and owned properties. They will be responsible for analyzing search and website analytics, identifying gaps in website content, optimizing pages for improved search results, building links, implementing strong technical SEO, and engaging in content creation and optimization.

· Continually research and adapt to changes in generative search, helping WGU to adapt to those changes and create new organic marketing techniques.
· Conduct keyword research to identify high-value search phrases to drive traffic and guide content teams.
· Perform keyword and competitor analyses.
· Execute effective link-building strategies.
· Optimize page content, metadata, and other on-page elements.
· Keep up to date on current algorithm, and SEO/GEO trends.
· Monitor daily performance metrics to understand SEO/GEO strategy performance.
· Create reporting on website analytics and performance.
· Monitor SEO/GEO metrics and key performance indicators to identify insights and potential issues.
· Understand and present information on industry best practices for measuring success of search.
· Performs other related duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of related experience, or an advanced degree without experience.
Department Specific Minimum Qualifications:
· A Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, communications, business, or a related area is preferred.
· 3+ years of experience in successfully executing SEO campaigns.
· Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
· Strong understanding of search engine algorithms, technical SEO, and ranking methods.
· Experience with SEO industry programs and tools such as Google or Adobe Analytics, SEMrush, Screaming Frog, SEOClarity or similar.
· Experience with CMS platforms AEM, WordPress, or similar.
· Experience with content management tools such as WorkFront.
Physical Requirements:
· Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
· Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
· Requires extensive sitting and dexterity to perform work on a PC.
· Typical physical demands include ability to sit, stand or walk extensively.
