Responsibilities
- Perform eyewear measurements, adjustments, fittings, and finish quality checks to meet optical standards
- Explain prescription terminology and product options to customers in clear, accessible terms
- Open and close the store as a key-holder and maintain daily operational procedures
- Support and mentor the Optical team, including participants in the Optician Apprentice Program
- Drive sales and service standards on the floor, acting as primary contact for optical and operational questions
- Maintain inventory databases, store systems, and assist with general store operations
- Foster a positive, productive team culture and model excellent customer service
Education
- State dispensing optician license where required or ABO certification in non-licensing states
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
