Senior Platform Engineer
Skills
- Experience with GitLab CI/CD including runners, templates, and integrations
- Strong Terraform and Infrastructure-as-Code skills
- Experience with configuration management (Puppet and/or Ansible)
- Scripting and automation with Python, PHP, Bash or similar
- Hands-on Linux experience, especially Debian-based distributions
- Containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Git workflows, branching strategies, and version control best practices
- Observability, monitoring, and performance-focused debugging
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and optimize GitLab CI/CD pipelines and pipeline templating
- Automate infrastructure deployments using Terraform and configuration management tools
- Improve developer experience, onboarding, and local testing workflows
- Contribute to Puppet manifests, Helm charts, and Terraform modules for core systems
- Integrate observability, reliability, and automation across delivery pipelines
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, QA, and operations teams
- Write clear documentation for CI/CD workflows, automation scripts, and infrastructure processes
- Troubleshoot and debug production and pipeline issues; participate in on-call rotation as needed
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience
- Relevant professional training or certifications in cloud, DevOps, or infrastructure are beneficial
