Responsibilities
- Use SB Nation tools for consistent moderation across the network
- Moderate comments, approving or rejecting them and taking appropriate actions including warnings, suspensions, or bans
- Act expertly and empathetically on sensitive subjects, communicating respectfully with community members
- Document moderation decisions for management and community leaders
- Collaborate with community leaders to tailor moderation approaches as needed
- Monitor discussions and morale, reporting actionable issues to Editorial Managers and Producers
- Assist in investigating moderation disputes
- Understand sports context for community discussions
- Maintain communication within the Community Editor team and management
- Perform copyediting and administrative duties during non-moderation time
- Be an expert on user agreements and community guidelines
