Responsibilities
- Triage and manage emergency cases across a full spectrum of small animal urgent care
- Perform emergency soft-tissue surgeries and appropriate surgical procedures
- Stabilize critical patients and manage anesthesia and perioperative care
- Communicate effectively with clients regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, and prognoses
- Collaborate with technicians and support staff to ensure efficient, high-quality patient care
- Maintain accurate medical records, case documentation, and discharge instructions
- Participate in hospital team activities, huddles, and continuous improvement initiatives
Education
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent
- Active state veterinary license (Nebraska) or eligibility to obtain licensure
