At VERSES, we're shaping the future of computing with our natural computing platform, Genius. We're looking for an expert Head of Product Design who is as enthusiastic about delivering memorable and desirable experiences for our users!

✍️ Role Overview

• Drive the user‑experience vision for the Genius platform, ensuring intuitive workflows for ML researchers, data scientists, and enterprise developers.
• Lead a distributed team of product designers and UX researchers; mentor designers, establish clear quality standards, and foster a collaborative, inclusive design culture.
• Partner closely with Product, Engineering, Marketing, Sales, and Research to co‑define product capabilities, align on metrics/OKRs, and ensure consistency across all surfaces.
• Translate complex concepts (AI/ML, SaaS, Agent‑based systems) into elegant interfaces that leverage Verses technology capabilities while ensuring transparency, trust, and alignment.

🌟 Responsibilities

Strategic Design Leadership

• Develop and refine design processes to support rapid iteration and high fidelity.
• Craft a long‑term UX strategy that balances simplicity with the platform’s technical depth and communicates this vision to stakeholders.

Team Building & Management

• Accountable to deliver in a player/coach role immediately, to build a solid team in the future.
• Scale and mentor a world‑class design team across geographies; conduct talent sourcing, hiring, and onboarding.
• Create a safe, fun environment where designers can perform at their best and push the boundaries of AI‑enabled UX.

Research & User Advocacy

• Lead user needs assessments, task analyses, and usability testing to ensure workflows meet user goals.
• Advocate for inclusive and accessible design, adhering to WCAG guidelines.
• Cross‑Functional Collaboration & Execution
• Partner with PMs and engineers to plan product roadmaps, define success metrics, and iterate based on data-driven insights.
• Produce high‑level task flows, storyboards, and prototypes; ensure consistency across web, mobile, edge, and API/SDK surfaces.

Customer-Driven Design

• Explore how Active Inference can enhance user productivity
• Ensure designs facilitate human‑AI collaboration and embed explainability.
• Stay abreast of AI/ML trends, maintain perspective on alignment considerations, and integrate them into the product vision.

🎓 Essential Qualifications:

• 10+ years in product/UX design with 3+ years leading design organizations.
• Experience managing distributed teams and designers.
• Demonstrated experience building design capabilities and processes for complex SaaS or AI/ML platforms.
• Portfolio showcasing strong visual and interaction design craft and a record of shipping intuitive, data‑driven products.
• Deep understanding of human‑centered design practices, research methodologies, and accessibility standards.
• Curiosity about AI and the future of work; ability to translate cutting‑edge AI/ML concepts into usable features.
• Experiment with new and upcoming technologies to explore value addition to the customer.
• Exceptional communication, storytelling, and stakeholder‑alignment skills; comfortable balancing multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment
