- Proficiency in C/C++ for embedded systems
- 3+ years Linux development experience
- Experience with Linux device drivers and kernel-level debugging
- Familiarity with embedded Linux and Yocto build system
- Bash scripting for automation and tooling
- Knowledge of Secure Boot and secure OS concepts
- Familiarity with Go and Python for tooling/services
- Understanding of WebRTC and real-time protocols
- Experience with distributed systems and practical HTTP debugging
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain embedded Linux firmware for access control devices
- Develop and debug Linux device drivers and kernel patches for hardware integration
- Work with Yocto build system to produce secure, reproducible images
- Implement and validate Secure Boot and other platform security features
- Collaborate closely with firmware, backend, and frontend teams to ship end-to-end product functionality
- Diagnose and resolve system-level issues in distributed deployments and over-the-air updates
- Write automation and tooling (Bash, Python, Go) to support development and CI workflows
- Participate in architectural design, code reviews, and mentor junior engineers
Education
- BS or graduate degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related science
- Or equivalent practical experience in embedded/Linux development
