As a member of the VCA Antioch Animal Hospital, you will support the Veterinary team by creating a positive, low-stress atmosphere for our clients and patients. Your mission will be to win the confidence of every pet parent—by delivering an outstanding client experience—so we can provide exceptional care to every patient. We want you to use the knowledge that you have invested your time and talent in. The skills that you will be utilizing include, but are not limited to:
- Customer service functions, including: greeting visitors, answering telephones
- Checking in client clients and their pets to exam rooms.
- Triaging patients and having the appropriate sense of urgency for emergencies
- Communicating to your fellow coworkers regarding patients, check-in, discharge, etc
- Ability to work in a team oriented environment.
- Presenting and explaining fees, including processing payments.
- Remaining calm and able to handle stressful situations.
- Answering questions regarding products and services, including educating clients.
- Managing medical records, charts, reports and correspondence.
- Hospital maintenance (including removal of animal waste) and ensuring that facility is neat and clean at all times—both inside and outside.
