Skills
- Proficiency in Python and/or R for data manipulation, analysis and visualization
- Experience querying and curating electronic health record and other real-world datasets
- Strong knowledge of data harmonization, medical coding systems, and clinical concepts mapping
- Familiarity with reproducible analysis practices, version control, and collaborative code review
- Ability to translate business and research needs into actionable data workflows
Responsibilities
- Curate and harmonize structured and unstructured EHR and registry data to create high-quality datasets for research
- Collaborate with clinical informatics, epidemiology, data engineering, and ML teams to translate research requirements into analysis plans
- Execute feasibility studies, reproducible analyses, and prepare deliverables for internal and external stakeholders
- Develop and maintain user-driven tools and ETL processes to automate data transformation and generalize workflows
- Apply R or Python in cloud environments to perform analysis, visualization, and contribute to code review and shared standards
Education
- Bachelor’s degree with relevant experience (3+ years) in patient data or a quantitative field
- MS (or higher) with 1+ year of relevant quantitative experience preferred
- Relevant fields include public health, biostatistics, health economics, computer science, statistics, computational biology, or biomedical engineering
