Skills
- 5+ years building production ML systems
- Strong experience with ranking algorithms (collaborative filtering, learning-to-rank, deep learning)
- Proficiency in Python and ML frameworks (TensorFlow or PyTorch)
- Experience with distributed computing frameworks (Spark, Ray)
- Experience deploying and optimizing low-latency inference
- Ability to run and interpret A/B tests and tie results to business metrics
- Productionization skills: monitoring, scaling, and cost optimization
Responsibilities
- Build and deploy ML models serving 100M+ predictions daily
- Design and implement ranking algorithms that balance relevance, diversity, and revenue
- Develop real-time personalization features with sub-50ms latency requirements
- Run A/B tests and analyze model performance against business KPIs
- Optimize models for production: latency, throughput, and cost
- Collaborate with product, engineering, and analytics teams to identify personalization opportunities
- Instrument monitoring, logging, and alerting for models in production
Education
- BS or MS in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or a related field
- Relevant coursework or project experience in machine learning, recommender systems, or data engineering
