Skills
- Proficiency in partnership, S corporation, C corporation, and individual taxation
- Strong tax research and technical analysis skills
- Excellent oral and written communication
- Experience supervising, coaching and developing junior staff
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Ability to manage multiple client deadlines and priorities
Responsibilities
- Serve as primary lead on tax engagements including scheduling, staffing, preparing and completing returns, and delivering first-level technical review
- Develop and maintain client relationships and act as primary client contact for tax information and planning opportunities
- Prepare and review quarterly estimates and year-end projections
- Respond to IRS and state tax notices and manage client deadlines
- Supervise, train and mentor Tax Associates and Interns, acting as project manager to ensure prioritization and completion of work
- Perform technical tax research, summarize findings, and escalate complex issues to managers or partners
Education
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting
- CPA eligible; actively pursuing CPA license required
- Active CPA license preferred
