Who You’ll Work With

The Information Technology organization is the technological foundation of our business and works in collaboration with our partners from across the company. The team drives technology and digital transformation, partners with business leaders to design and execute new strategies through IT and operations services and ensures the necessary IT risk management and security measures are in place and aligned with enterprise architecture standards and principles.

About The Role

This role will report to the Chief Physical Security Officer. The role is accountable for the service delivery and operational excellence of the security investigations, threat management, and workplace violence prevention programs. This role will build, implement and oversee internal security investigations, threat analysis and mitigation, case management, and workplace violence prevention as well as the development and delivery of virtual and in-person security awareness training. 

Responsibilities

  • Lead and be accountable for the operational effectiveness, service delivery, and management of all services, programs, activities and personnel within the investigations and threat management team. 
  • Develop, document, implement, evaluate and continuously improve departmental policies, standards, procedures and guidelines to ensure effective investigations and threat mitigation controls are in place. 
  • Manage the conduct of corporate investigations for physical security matters that require a higher level of response and investigatory methods than standard incident response protocols. 
  • Develop, maintain and improve incident and investigations report writing formats, guidelines and communication templates. 
  • Maintain and improve an effective incident and investigations case management system and application. 
  • Review investigations and incident reports to ensure accuracy and alignment with established procedures and guidelines. 
  • Develop key performance indicators and track metrics related to investigative activities. 
  • Develop and manage an effective kidnap, ransom and extortion prevention and response program. 
  • Develop and manage a physical threat assessment, mitigation and management program. 
  • Oversee the analysis of internal and external threat reports utilizing open-source intelligence (OSINT), the actions to assesses the means to carry out threats, and implementation of effective controls and mitigation measures to ensure personnel safety. 
  • Develop and manage an enterprise workplace violence prevention program, and partner with business units and corporate functions to ensure effective workplace violence controls are in place.  
  • Manage the research, development, implementation and record keeping of virtual and in-person physical security awareness and education programs to elevate security awareness culture. 
  • Perform other duties as assigned by departmental leadership. 

Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and at least 7+ years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education 10+ years of experience. 
  • Demonstrated progressive experience in a position of leadership managing investigations and threat management in a law enforcement, military and/or corporate setting. 
  • Certified Protection Professional (CPP), Professional Certified Investigator (PCI), Certified Threat Manager (CTM) and/or other industry certifications are highly desirable. This role is expected to obtain and maintain professional industry certifications.  
  • Training in the Wicklander-Zulawski method of non-confrontational interviewing is highly desirable.  
  • 3 years of experience conducting open-source intelligence (OSINT) research and utilizing case management systems. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a high degree of professionalism and emotional intelligence. 
  • Above average computer, database, case management, OSINT and social media platform skills required. 
  • Willingness to work extended hours, weekends, or on call in the event of an emergency. 

Compensation

The anticipated salary range for this position is $145,000 to $160,000 for Jersey City, NJ region at the commencement of employment.  Not all candidates will be eligible for the upper end of the salary range. The actual compensation offered will ultimately be dependent on multiple factors, which may include the candidate’s geographic location, skills, experience and other qualifications.

In addition, the position is eligible for a discretionary bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable incentive plan.

Work Location

This position is based in Corebridge Financial’s Jersey City, NJ or Houston, TX office and is subject to our hybrid working policy, which gives colleagues the benefits of working both in an office and remotely.
