Backend Python Engineer (With LLM Experience) (Polygraph Required)
Skills
- Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph required
- Strong Python application development using modern frameworks (FastAPI preferred)
- Experience building scalable, OOP-based software for distributed systems
- Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud infrastructure (AWS)
- Experience with Git-based workflows and CI/CD tooling (AWS CodeBuild, Jenkins, GitHub Actions)
- Comfort with automated testing frameworks (PyTest preferred)
- Working knowledge of dependency/project management tools (poetry, pip, conda)
- Strong written and verbal communication for technical collaboration
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable backend services and REST/HTTP APIs in a containerized cloud environment (AWS preferred).
- Develop production applications for data discovery, analysis, and secure data delivery.
- Integrate LLMs, agents, or ML models into production features and workflows.
- Collaborate in a Lean Agile team: participate in design reviews, code reviews, and sprint planning.
- Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and deployment processes.
- Monitor, profile, and improve performance, reliability, and security of services and data interfaces.
- Integrate with cloud services, event-driven systems, and data platforms to expose high-value data securely.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field, or equivalent experience
- Relevant professional training or certifications in cloud, security, or software engineering preferred
