Organization's Summary Statement:
This position will support the efforts of DIT to ensure that digital documents created by staff and faculty at the University of Maryland meet accessibility standards and are usable by all individuals, including those using assistive technologies. This role focuses on reviewing, remediating, and validating PDF documents to comply with WCAG 2.1 AA, Section 508, and institutional accessibility guidelines.
Assist the Web Accessibility Specialist in long-term projects, creating educational materials such as:
PDF how-to videos
A PDF walkthrough guide with screenshots

Please note that all positions within the Division of Information Technology (DIT) have an in person component with expected time in our College Park, MD location per week. Telework is not a guaranteed work arrangement.
Core days/hours are 8:30-4:00 Mon-Fri

Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
Experience: One (1) year of professional administrative, coordinator, or information technology experience.
Other: Additional work experience as defined above may be substituted on a year for year basis for up to four (4) years of the required education.
