- Advanced SQL for analytics and data modeling
- Experience with analytics engineering tools (dbt or equivalent)
- Cloud data warehouse experience (Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift)
- ETL/ELT pipeline design and orchestration
- Applied knowledge of data modeling for analytics and metrics layers
- Proven leadership and stakeholder management skills
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a team of analytics engineers, setting priorities, hiring, mentoring, and conducting performance reviews.
- Design, build, and maintain production-grade analytics pipelines and data models for reporting, experimentation, and product analytics.
- Own analytics engineering best practices: CI/CD for analytics (dbt or equivalent), testing, versioning, and documentation.
- Partner closely with product, growth, finance, and engineering stakeholders to translate business questions into scalable data models and metrics.
- Establish and maintain data governance, lineage, and observability for analytics assets.
- Drive roadmap and execution for the analytics platform, evaluating new tools and technologies to improve velocity and reliability.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Statistics, or related field, or equivalent practical experience
- Advanced degree (Masters) is a plus but not required
