At Tutor Me Education, we are revolutionizing the way students learn, and we're seeking passionate teachers and tutors with special education experience to provide 1:1 in-home tutoring in Irvine, CA! About the Role: As an Tutor at Tutor Me Education, you’ll provide personalized, one-on-one tutoring to students with special needs in their homes. You will be responsible for helping students with daily activities, offering moral support, and delivering tailored instruction based on their Individualized Education Plan (IEP).

We are currently hiring for multiple positions across all cities in Irvine, CA

Details:

  • In-Person Tutoring in Irvine, CA
  • Schedule: Weekdays 3pm onwards, 2x a week
  • Competitive hourly rate based on experience
  • Focus Area: Math

Ideal Candidate:

  • Experience working with elementary-aged students, particularly those with ADHD and/or autism.
  • Strong understanding of 4th-grade math curriculum.
  • Ability to create engaging, interactive lessons in a virtual or hybrid setting.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and adaptability in working with neurodiverse learners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality, structured math instruction tailored to the student's individual learning needs.
  • Access the student’s Google Classroom directly to monitor assignments, progress, and deadlines.
  • Maintain a consistent tutoring routine to build structure and predictability.
  • Support the student in managing their workload and completing homework on time.
  • Implement strategies to improve focus and task completion during sessions.
  • Consider alternative tutoring environments, such as community business centers or cyber cafés, to reduce distractions and improve engagement during virtual sessions.
  • Communicate regularly with the student's parent/guardian to coordinate schedules and provide progress updates.
