Senior Product Designer - Expenses

About Us

TravelPerk is a global travel and expense management platform. Its all-in-one platform gives travelers the freedom they want whilst providing companies with the control they need. The result saves time, money, and hassle for everyone.

TravelPerk has industry-leading travel inventory alongside powerful management features, 24/7 customer support, state-of-the-art technology, and consumer-grade design.

Founded in 2015 and headquartered in Barcelona, we’ve grown to over 1,800 people across Europe and North America. In 2022 we became a ‘unicorn’ and in 2025, we raised Series E funding at $2.7 billion valuation, alongside our acquisition of Yokoy, to become the leader in integrated travel and expense management.

We’ve been winning awards too. Since 2023, we’ve been voted one of the best places to work, one of the fastest-growing apps and tech companies, and a leading pioneer of business travel.

These are just some of the reasons why global brands like Wise, Red Bull, GetYourGuide, and Aesop trust us to get the most out of their travel.

The Role

At TravelPerk, we believe in empowering cross-functional teams that drive exceptional results for our customers and the company. We are currently looking for a Senior Product Designer to join our Expenses team in North America.

Managing expenses should be effortless, not a burden. Our Expenses product is at the heart of the employee experience, empowering them to focus on their work while giving companies complete visibility and control over their spend. North America represents a massive opportunity for our growth, and this role is pivotal to tailoring our world-class expenses product to the unique needs of this strategic market.

As a Senior Product Designer for Expenses in North America, you’ll partner with a Product Manager and an Engineering Manager to define a 7-star experience for our customers—empowering employees with a frictionless way to manage their expenses, while giving admins full control and visibility over company spend.

What you'll do:

  • Design for Impact: Craft end-to-end user experiences across web and mobile that make managing cards effortless for employees, admins, and finance teams.
  • Bring Insights to Life: Turn data, customer feedback, and market research into design solutions tailored to the US market.
  • Shape the Vision: Partner with PMs and Engineers to define clear problem statements and design strategies that balance user needs with business goals.
  • Collaborate Across Functions: Work hand-in-hand with developers, researchers, and other stakeholders (like Sales Engineering, Implementation, and Account Managers) to bring ideas to life.
  • Champion The User: Advocate for best-in-class usability and accessibility, ensuring every interaction feels intuitive and impactful.

What skills are required?

  • Experience That Counts: 5+ years of product design experience at a fast-growing tech company. Experience with Expense Management, FinTech, or SaaS products in NAM is a strong plus.
  • A Sharp Eye for UX: You know what makes a great product experience and can design solutions that are both simple and scalable. You are able to set the bar and influence the craft for other designers around you.
  • Systems Thinker: Comfortable designing within (and contributing to) a design system, balancing consistency with innovation.
  • Cross-Functional mindset: Skilled at working with product managers, engineers, and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into simple, elegant designs.
  • Storytelling Skills: Able to clearly communicate the “why” behind your design decisions to inspire your team and align stakeholders.
  • End-to-end execution: You can take a project from concept to launch, breaking down complexity into deliverables that ship value quickly.

Why You’ll Love Our Team

  • We are a team of 50 talented Product Designers, Content Designers and Researchers. We like to think of ourselves as high-achievers, goal-oriented, and eager to learn and grow. We foster efficiency through autonomy and creativity through collaboration.
  • Working in the Product Design team will ensure high-quality design, strategic impact on the product and next-level GIFs 😎
  • In the Product Design team, you will find a strong culture of ownership, impact-over-effort and lending support to each other, there are no egos and transparency is highly valued.
  • We are a heterogeneous team with multiple nationalities and backgrounds, pushing for getting better, having fun and always asking why (of course).
  • In the next 12 months, we have the challenge to grow our team to almost double its current size, supporting every squad while also scaling our Content and Research functions.
  • Wanna know more? You can always find us at travelperk.design

Compensation for this role is a combination of salary and stock options. The anticipated base salary range is $145,000 - $170,000 per year. Actual compensation may vary based on specific qualifications, experience, and other job-related factors.

How We Work
Our Vision is for a world where TravelPerk is the platform for human connection in real life (IRL). We take an IRL-first approach to work, where our team works together in person 3 days a week. For roles in Customer Care, this can be up to 5 days per week in the office. As such, this role requires you to be within commuting distance of our hubs. We fundamentally believe in meeting in real life to improve connectivity, productivity, and creativity, ultimately making us a great workplace.

At TravelPerk, we prioritise experience and potential over academic qualifications for this role. Talent and ability aren't always reflected in formal credentials.

TravelPerk is a global company with a diverse customer base, and we want to ensure that the people behind our product reflect that. We're an equal opportunity employer, meaning you're welcome at TravelPerk regardless of your appearance, where you're from, or anything else that makes you.

Protect Yourself from Recruitment Scams

All official communication from TravelPerk will always come from email addresses ending in @travelperk.com or @externaltravelperk.com, our verified social media channels, or recruiters listed on our official LinkedIn page. We will never ask you to pay for equipment, training, or fees, request sensitive personal information such as bank details early in the process, or communicate through unofficial apps like WhatsApp, Telegram, or Signal. If you receive a message claiming to be from TravelPerk that seems suspicious, please do not respond. Forward it to [email protected] and we’ll confirm whether it’s legitimate.
