Who we're looking for:

Toyota Financial Services’ Cloud Engineering Department is seeking a passionate and highly motivated Senior Manager, Cloud Engineering. In this pivotal role, you will lead the design, implementation, and optimization of our core cloud platforms that power critical business applications and infrastructure. Reporting to the Director of Cloud Engineering, you will drive innovation and scalability to ensure our cloud environments are secure, reliable, and automated, and empowering teams across the organization to deliver exceptional digital experiences.

What you'll be doing:

Imagine leading a talented team that builds and scales cloud platforms used by thousands, ensuring seamless performance and security every day. Success in this role means delivering robust cloud solutions that accelerate business growth and operational excellence. Your typical day will blend strategic architecture, hands-on automation, and collaborative leadership to transform cloud capabilities.

  • Architect and implement scalable, secure, and reliable cloud foundations using industry best practices and cutting-edge technologies.

  • Develop and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like OpenTofu, Terraform, and AWS CloudFormation to automate cloud provisioning and management.

  • Design cloud services that integrate seamlessly with Continuous Integration and Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, enhancing developer productivity.

  • Lead cloud security initiatives by implementing best practices, conducting audits, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

  • Manage and mentor a high-performing team of cloud engineers, fostering growth, innovation, and technical excellence.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering teams, business units, and vendors to deliver cloud solutions aligned with business goals.

  • Evaluate emerging cloud technologies and drive continuous improvement initiatives to keep Toyota Financial Services at the forefront of cloud innovation.

  • Oversee cloud performance monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimization to maintain high availability and scalability.

  • Document architectures and share knowledge through training and workshops, building a culture of learning and excellence.

What you bring:

We value the skills and experience that set you up for success in this role:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field—or equivalent hands-on experience.

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in cloud computing, with deep expertise in AWS platforms and cloud automation.

  • 5+ years of proven leadership managing technical engineering teams, driving projects from concept to completion.

  • Strong scripting and automation skills to streamline manual tasks and improve operational efficiency.

  • Hands-on experience working within CI/CD environments, enabling rapid and reliable software delivery.

  • Expertise in cloud security, identity & access management, and secrets management to protect critical assets.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to influence and partner effectively across diverse teams.

Added bonus is you have:

  • Advanced degrees or certifications that deepen your cloud expertise and leadership capabilities.

  • Experience with multi-cloud environments or additional cloud platforms beyond AWS.

  • Familiarity with vendor management and contract negotiations related to cloud services.

  • A track record of driving innovation through new cloud technologies and continuous improvement initiatives.
