Who we’re looking for

Toyota’s TMNA PE Paint Department is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Engineer.

The primary responsibility of this role is to manage area project schedules for new equipment installation, new model introduction, shop capacity studies, competitiveness improvements and overall facilitation with related plant production groups.

Reporting to the Regional Manager, the person in this role will support the Paint PE department's objective to effectively manage capital projects, new model introductions and provide necessary support to ensure competitive daily operations.

What you’ll be doing

• Support area project planning, equipment procurement, implementation and follow-up.

• Support new model introductions, including equipment modifications, process jigs, etc.

• Lead competitiveness improvement projects for local production shop.

• Negotiate scope of work and define roles/responsibilities within the project.

• Identify necessary investment and equipment modifications for capacity increases, model mixes, etc.

What you bring

• Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering Field, Engineering Technology degree or 3 years of equivalent automotive experience

• Proficient knowledge in MS Office applications (Excel for analysis and PowerPoint for reporting and presentations and MS Project for schedules)

• 2+ years of experience in high volume manufacturing environment

• 2+ years of experience coordinating equipment installations with multiple contractors

• 2+ years of Project Management experience

• 2+ years of experience writing equipment specifications

Added bonus if you have

• 2+ years of experience with AutoCAD and Catia

• 2+ years of automotive paint production engineering or maintenance experience

• 2+ years of experience with Ringi development and requisition preparation
