Skills
- Deep React Native expertise (navigation, native modules, performance)
- Strong TypeScript and modern JavaScript knowledge
- Experience with state management (Redux, Zustand, Context)
- GraphQL client integration (Apollo or similar)
- Mobile performance optimization and profiling
- Testing: unit, integration, and E2E (Jest, Detox, Appium)
- Production tooling: crash reporting (Sentry/Crashlytics), analytics, remote config
- CI/CD for mobile, code signing, TestFlight/Play Store distribution
- Experience shipping apps to both iOS and Android stores
- Excellent communication and technical leadership
Responsibilities
- Lead development of the React Native mobile MVP and establish project scaffolding, patterns, and architecture
- Define technical direction for component design, state management, navigation, and API integration
- Create reusable components, custom hooks, TypeScript patterns, and testing strategies for the mobile platform
- Own end-to-end mobile features from design through App Store and Play Store releases
- Integrate with GraphQL APIs and ensure robust cache, optimistic updates, and error handling
- Embed within feature teams post-MVP to drive ongoing mobile development and maintain technical standards
- Drive mobile quality: testing, monitoring, crash reporting, performance profiling, and optimization
- Mentor engineers on React Native best practices, architecture, and production ownership
- Collaborate with product and design to translate trader needs into performant mobile experiences
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent practical experience
- Demonstrated history of production mobile app delivery
