Responsibilities
- Provide strategic employment law advice on terminations, performance management, accommodations, leaves, and workplace policies
- Lead or oversee internal investigations of employee complaints and potential legal exposure
- Manage and oversee employment litigation in coordination with outside counsel, including pleadings, discovery, motions, and trial preparation
- Develop and execute litigation strategy and supervise budgets and billing for litigation matters
- Manage employment-related insurance matters (EPLI), coordinate notifications, claims handling, and coverage analysis with insurers and Risk Management
- Monitor federal, state, and local employment law developments and advise HR and management on compliance
- Assist in developing and implementing employment policies and training programs
- Serve as trusted advisor to HR, management, and executive leadership and collaborate with cross-functional teams
Education
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
- Active membership in good standing with at least one U.S. state bar
