University Instructors (UI), a national leader in K–12 instructional staffing and solutions, is seeking a Director of Marketing to oversee and shape their marketing efforts. The ideal candidate is passionate about education, an expert in relationship-based marketing, and driven by growing brands. This role requires a “hands-on” and strategic leader with a proven track record in thought leadership, event-based marketing, and sales enablement with the ability to measure, monitor, and communicate marketing effectiveness.

Major Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement the annual marketing strategy to support organizational objectives and drive growth.
  • Lead event-based marketing initiatives, including planning, execution, and analysis of results to maximize brand exposure and pipeline growth.
  • Drive the creation of high-quality, engaging content that resonates with target audiences and supports thought leadership, speaking engagements, and strategic partnerships.
  • Collaborate with sales teams to develop sales enablement materials and strategies that enhance the sales process and improve conversion rates.
  • Monitor and consistently report on the effectiveness of marketing activities, providing insights and recommendations for future initiatives.
  • Drive product messaging strategies to clearly communicate the value and benefits of our offerings to target customers.
  • Complete website redesign project to improve user experience, optimize for SEO, and ensure alignment with brand messaging.
  • Manage the marketing budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources to maximize ROI.
  • Manage relationships with external marketing agencies to ensure alignment and effective execution of marketing initiatives. 
  • Analyze market trends and customer insights to inform marketing strategies and decisions.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a senior marketing role growing a brand in the K-12 education sector.
  • Hands on, “roll up sleeves” mindset; ability to think strategically while managing day-to-day marketing operations.
  • Skilled in content creation and thought leadership strategies.
  • Expertise in planning and executing impactful events and conferences.
  • Metrics driven approach including proactive reporting and CRM optimization.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Mission-driven with a genuine interest in improving education.
  • Live in Eastern/Central time zone.
