Assistant Vice President, Marketing Compliance and Complaints

Description

The Federal Savings Bank, a national and federally chartered bank, is seeking an Assistant Vice President of Marketing Compliance and Complaints to join our Compliance Monitoring team. This role is crucial to ensuring that the organization meets regulatory compliance obligations pertaining to all forms of marketing. This position reports to the Vice President of Compliance Monitoring.


The Federal Savings Bank is headquartered in Chicago, IL. Candidates local to the Chicagoland area who can work a hybrid schedule in our Logan Square (Chicago) office are preferred, however, fully remote qualified candidates who can work in alignment with Central or Eastern time zones are encouraged to apply.


 Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead team with compliance analyst performing second line marketing reviews
  • Perform monitoring reviews as needed
  • Meet regularly with Marketing Department to determine review needs
  • Maintain marketing compliance guide
  • Review complaints for potential compliance/regulatory issues
  • Assist in responding to complaints
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge and thorough understanding of government laws, ethics, and compliance reporting and responsibilities
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of federal and state laws and regulations
  • Interpret existing and emerging regulations and make procedural recommendations
  • Perform reviews of marketing materials for compliance with application state and federal regulations including but not limited to: ECOA, FHAct, FACTA, RESPA, Dodd-Frank, MAP Rule, UDAAP, TCPA

Requirements

Experience Requirements:

  • Marketing experience in a highly regulated environment (OCC regulated institutions preferred)
  • 3+ years in financial compliance or audit
  • Knowledge of banking laws and regulations, particularly with UDAAP, RESPDA, MAP Rule, and Fair Lending laws

Skill Requirements

  • Ability to manage several assignments simultaneously
  • Ability to work efficiently and productively independently as well as collaboratively
  • Time management, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Model professional standards of written and oral communication
  • Ability to solve for a variety of compliance and business issues within time-sensitive periods
  • Maintain composure while working with a sense of urgency in high-pressure situations
  • Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of bank management

Technology Requirements:

  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams
  • Knowledge of Encompass loan origination software preferred

Education and Certification Requirements

  • 4-year degree or commensurate experience
  • CRCM preferred
