Responsibilities
- Plan, implement, and evaluate programs for children, teens, and caregivers, including outreach and promotional activities
- Provide reference, readers' advisory, and informational assistance to youth and caregivers in-person, by phone, and email
- Deliver technology assistance and basic computer training for patrons and support self-service equipment
- Develop displays and merchandise collections to highlight programs and events
- Engage with community organizations to build partnerships and represent the library at outreach events
- Work collaboratively with the system Youth Services team to share ideas and initiatives
- Supervise volunteers and serve as Manager on Duty when required
- Perform other related duties and support library strategic goals
Education
- Master's Degree in Library Science (MLS) from an accredited college or university required
- Candidates without the MLS may be considered if they have significantly more relevant work experience
