Responsibilities
- Prepare financial statements and notes for the Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR).
- Analyze financial data related to expenditures, revenues, liabilities, receivables, payroll, debt, grants, pensions, and OPEB.
- Manage the annual external audit process and coordinate with auditors and city departments.
- Create and maintain complex financial reports and schedules for internal and external use.
- Reconcile accounts, prepare journal entries, and investigate significant variances.
- Analyze the City's financial stability and trends, including actuarial reports and fiduciary fund statements.
- Monitor and implement GASB pronouncements ensuring compliance with standards.
- Provide technical accounting guidance and support process improvements in financial reporting.
- Update and develop city financial policies related to reporting.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Public Administration, or related field
