Responsibilities
- Supervise, train, evaluate and direct a team of Recreation Assistants
- Develop and implement weekly lesson plans that meet educational, cultural and recreational goals
- Coordinate and run indoor and outdoor activities, arts & crafts, and games
- Maintain safety, discipline and high supervision standards for children ages 5–13
- Assist with lunch/snack distribution and clean-up following Child Nutrition Program guidelines
- Issue and collect recreation equipment and maintain facility cleanliness and organization
- Complete daily attendance, incident reports, disciplinary forms, surveys and other program records
- Support regular staff and perform other duties as assigned while adhering to department attendance and personnel policies
Education
- High School diploma or GED required
- Candidates without the education requirement may be considered with additional relevant work experience
